Camp Theme / The Search For HiYaa

We are all searching. We are told that what we are looking for can be found within ourselves. We begin to think and act like our inner strength is enough. Culture bombards us with the idea that we only need to believe in the power of self. Does true power really come from within ourselves? Or is this a false power? The bible says in Ephesians 3:20

Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we could ask or think.
Do we really believe this? Is God enough? Can our power truly be found in Him? Like the Sensei who screams “HiYaa” and searches for his inner power before battle. This summer we will be on our own search for power. Join us as we will dive into the story of a man named Gideon who learned about God’s power first hand. Our hope is that as we understand more about God and his power, we will let go of the false powers we rely on.
